We offer a variety of camp and recreational activities in different locations throughout Napa, Sonoma, Marin and Solano counties for both children and adults with disabilities.

UCPNB's 2025 Winter Bike Camp provides a nurturing environment for children with disabilities, offering specialized instruction and adaptive techniques to empower them in learning how to ride bikes, fostering confidence and joy in their cycling experiences.
Featured Activities
Activities for adults with developmental disabilities include Summer and Winter Residential Camps at Camp Arroyo, Sea Kayaking and River Rafting. Activities for children with developmental disabilities include Bike Camp, Swim Camp, Surf Camp, Camp Kaos, and Cypress Summer Day Camp.

Camp Kaos
Camp Kaos is a four-day camp located at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa serving children ages 6-22 with physical and developmental disabilities. Camp activities include hiking, train rides, carousel rides, paddle boating, and canoeing, all of which are available at Howarth Park. Additional recreation activities including arts and crafts and outdoor games are adapted for all campers to fully participate. Supervision and support is provided by Camp Counselors (staff) and Volunteers from Sonoma State University and local high schools.

Bike and Swim Camp
Bike/Swim Camp is an instructional program located at Sonoma State University that teaches campers with developmental and/or physical disabilities ages 8-22 how to ride a conventional two-wheeled bicycle. The camp provides an immersion experience for campers learning to ride a two-wheeled bicycle by using specially designed equipment and teaching methods to promote skill development, self-confidence, and self-esteem. The swim portion of the camp provides a “learn through play” recreation activity at the completion of bicycle riding.

Adventure Trips
Adventure Trips are outdoor recreation activities that provide a variety of safe risk-taking, self-esteem building experiences for adults with developmental disabilities. UCP of the North Bay currently provides three different Adventure Trips: Sea Kayaking (one-day camp), White Water River Rafting (two-day overnight), and Cross Country Skiing (three-day overnight). Supervision and support is provided by UCP of the North Bay staff members and skilled volunteers from Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC).

Camp Arroyo
UCPNB's Camp Arroyo is a picturesque and inclusive retreat nestled in the heart of Livermore Valley, California, providing a serene and accessible environment for individuals with disabilities to enjoy outdoor activities and social experiences. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty and equipped with modern amenities, it offers a supportive and empowering setting for campers of all abilities to connect and thrive.
United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay wants to give a big thank you to The Coastal Conservancy for sponsoring our Shoreline Camp. We partnered with Sonoma County Regional parks, Spectrum Surf and Environmental Training Companions to provide fun filled educational camps. Providing opportunities for the Campers to explore the coastal regions in Sonoma County. We went kayaking, Surfing, Enjoyed an educational discussion with Park Rangers, and visited the Marine Mammal Center.
