Providing Employment Services to Help People with Disabilites Gain the Skills to Work Independently

Overview

Supported Employment Program provides services covering Sonoma, Napa, and Solano counties assisting individuals to participate in the competitive labor market. It helps them find meaningful jobs and provides ongoing support from a team of professionals. Supported Employment occurs within the most inclusive and competitive occupational settings and provides individuals the opportunity to earn income and learn new job skills that offer a variety of rewarding and exciting career choices.

UCP of the North Bay’s Supported Employment Services are all about assisting you in getting a job that is personalized to your interests, strengths and needs. Supported Employment Services provide long-term job coaching support and can assist whenever you have new tasks to learn. Working closely with our dedicated team, you'll develop natural supports in the community and receive assistance if needed to address other issues that could affect your work or personal life.

We understand that the individuals we serve are competing for jobs with the rest of the working world. For that reason, we work with the individuals to ensure that they have the best chance of securing the position in which they are most interested.

Our program assists with:

  • Creating resumes

  • Conducting mock interviews

  • Career exploration, training and internship experience

  • Experience in community organization and workplace culture

  • Development of job skills and independence

  • Work-based learning that promotes:

  • Problem-solving

  • Teamwork

  • Social relationships

We continuously reach out to businesses in the community to expand employment options for the individuals we serve. With a growing network of employment partners, we are able to customize plans and find meaningful jobs that meet the needs and interests of each individual.

Eligibility

Requirements to participate:

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Motivated to work in the community

  • Receiving North Bay Regional Center Services

  • Eligible to receive Department of Rehabilitation Services

  • Not a harm to self or others

Supported Employee Spotlight: Angela
