Overview

UCP of the North Bay owns and operates Flipside Thrift, comprised of two Thrift Centers located in Rohnert Park and Santa Cruz. The Thrift Centers provide sales revenue for our programs, visibility for UCP of the North Bay in the community, and paid work for adults with developmental disabilities attending our Adult Day Programs. Staff members are encouraged to donate clothes and other items, and are welcome to shop at any of the Thrift Center locations.

At Flipside Thrift, our primary objective is to create a dynamic and inclusive social enterprise that not only generates sustainable revenue but also actively contributes to the well-being and empowerment of individuals with disabilities. We aim to provide a supportive and enriching work environment that fosters skill development, community integration, and a sense of purpose for our team members. Anticipated outcomes include:

Program Activities

Flipside Thrift workers engage in a variety of tasks, including customer service, merchandise organization, pricing, and creative display creation. They also actively participate in skill development programs, community outreach, and contribute to the overall store maintenance and promotional efforts.
