Double your impact, give generously!
Coming September 15th, 2020: “Flipside Thrift,” our new UCP of the North Bay Thrift Center, will be opening at 6591 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. UCP of the North Bay has owned and operated multiple thrift centers for many years in Solano, Sutter, Yolo, and Santa Cruz Counties – and now Sonoma County! All proceeds support our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
UCP of the North Bay would like to give our sincere thanks and support to the first responders and emergency personnel that are battling the current fires, risking their safety so that we can be safe. Their courage and dedication is an inspiration to all of us who work to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities living throughout the North Bay. On behalf of the entire UCP of the North Bay Community, thank you!
Cypress School Update
Cypress is finalizing plans to begin limited in-person educational supports. Training was provided to all staff for COVID-safe procedures and cohorts are being assigned based on the latest CDE guidance. They will begin with weekly small group outdoor outings and then add on a weekly on-campus day later this month. Distance learning will continue with this hybrid model and teachers are developing distance learning plans for each student to address how the IEP will be implemented with parent input.
Adult Day Program Update
We appreciate the work of our program staff, as they continue to support distance learning as well as assist in fulfilling the production work contracts at our Adult Program sites. Our staff continue to move between all three counties depending on need. The teamwork and camaraderie displayed throughout the United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay organization has been exemplary. Due to popular demand, Camp Caz is having its 2nd Camp Talent Show on the Zoom platform September 22nd from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Participants are invited to sign up for a spot to showcase their many talents and socialize with friends. Participants, families, and caregivers are all invited to join in and enjoy the fun performances.
