Now Open: “Flipside Thrift,” our new UCP of the North Bay Thrift Center, is open now at 6591 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. UCP of the North Bay has owned and operated multiple thrift centers for many years in Solano, Sutter, Yolo, and Santa Cruz Counties – and now Sonoma County! All proceeds support our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Thank you:
UCP of the North Bay would like to give our sincere thanks and support to the first responders and emergency personnel that are battling the current fires, risking their safety so that we can be safe. Their courage and dedication is an inspiration to all of us who work to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities living throughout the North Bay. On behalf of the entire UCP of the North Bay Community, thank you!
Cypress School Update
Cypress had our first week welcoming staff back to campus. Staff have been practicing new procedures and preparing the space. They added additional participants to the weekly ABA outings and more approvals are pending. The campus readiness, distance learning, and outing and deliveries teams all met to discuss action items to move forward. They look forward to inviting small groups back to campus for weekly in-person instruction opportunities very soon.
Adult Day Program Update
All Adult Day programs are doing a series of classes for the next few weeks focusing on the history of voting, voting rights, and elections in the United States. After the Voter’s Rights class last week, program staff assisted three participants in registering to vote. The September Superstar Talent Show Spectacular was held on Tuesday, September 22nd from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Zoom. A gifted line-up of participants entertained us with songs, dance and original poetry. The enthusiastic audience of 76 cheered on as we brought the spirit of Camp CAZ to Zoom!
