Now Open: “Flipside Thrift,” our new UCP of the North Bay Thrift Center, will be opening at 6591 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. UCP of the North Bay has owned and operated multiple thrift centers for many years in Solano, Sutter, Yolo, and Santa Cruz Counties – and now Sonoma County! All proceeds support our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
UCP of the North Bay would like to give our sincere thanks and support to the first responders and emergency personnel that are battling the current fires, risking their safety so that we can be safe. Their courage and dedication is an inspiration to all of us who work to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities living throughout the North Bay. On behalf of the entire UCP of the North Bay Community, thank you!
Cypress School Update
Cypress is excited to have completed a successful week of outings for our ABA participants. They will be including additional participants as they become approved. Cypress will be welcoming our staff back to campus once a week and plans to add students in October one day per week. Beloved Cypress teacher Jessica Sauve has decided to take a leave and may be moving to Sacramento. She has been with Cypress since the early days and the school is indebted to her contributions and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
Adult Day Program Update
We are celebrating our Program Leaders as part of Direct Support Professional Appreciation Week. We have a special gift for each of them to show our great appreciation for their continued dedication to our participants as we have transitioned to remote learning. It is an honor to work with our Program Leaders, who have shown great leadership and creativity in making our virtual activities meaningful, informative and fun. We thank and honor you all!
