HAVE FUN and please spread the word!
Now Open: “Flipside Thrift,” our new UCP of the North Bay Thrift Center, is open now at 6591 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. UCP of the North Bay has owned and operated multiple thrift centers for many years in Solano, Sutter, Yolo, and Santa Cruz Counties – and now Sonoma County! All proceeds support our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
UCP of the North Bay would like to give our sincere thanks and support to the first responders and emergency personnel that are battling the current fires, risking their safety so that we can be safe. Their courage and dedication is an inspiration to all of us who work to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities living throughout the North Bay. On behalf of the entire UCP of the North Bay Community, thank you!
Cypress School Update
The Cypress team continues to support students through distance learning with innovative supports to address unique needs and challenges and explore strengths and talents. This week, the team is making improvements to our sites and vehicles and practicing safety protocols and procedures within our cohorts to remain as safe as possible while increasing in person instruction.
The key to successful re-entry to in person instruction is heightened communication. Everyone in the Cypress community is inspired to support the transition and eventual expansion to more in person instruction. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Cypress or UCPNB Administration when you have questions or suggestions and we will respond as soon as possible.
Adult Day Program Update
It’s time to get your costume ready for the Zoom Halloween Dance happening October 29th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Join in with participants and staff from all of our UCPNB programs for a fun filled afternoon.
Gone for Good has started a new fundraising campaign to help send some of our participants to Adult Camp next year. Working with Custom Ink, we will be selling memorabilia from the Friday 3Peat Sports Show on Zoom. Items will include T-Shirts, coffee mugs, sports towels, baseball hats and masks all with the 3Peat logo. The fundraiser will run for a month beginning Friday, October 9th. Check the Gone for Good Facebook page and the UCP of the North Bay website to order. Donations can also go directly towards the Camp fund if desired.
