UCP of the North Bay
Community Outreach Update
December 4, 2020
Agency News
We at UCP of the North Bay would like to thank everyone who participated by donating generously to our #GivingTuesday campaign on December 1st! To date, we have raised more than $7,000 that will go towards supporting our clients, staff and families throughout the North Bay. Did you miss the chance to give? If so, the link to our #GivingTuesday campaign is still LIVE BY CLICKING HERE! THANK YOU for GIVING!
“Flipside Thrift,” our new UCP of the North Bay Thrift Center is located at 6591 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park. UCP of the North Bay has owned and operated multiple thrift centers for many years in Solano, Sutter, Yolo, and Santa Cruz Counties – and now Sonoma County! All proceeds support our programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
Cypress School Update
Cypress welcomes everyone back from the Thanksgiving holiday break. We had one cohort quarantine due to an exposure. The individual has recovered from their symptoms and no others have been infected. Schools will remain open even in the event the Governor orders a shelter-in-place in the coming weeks. Cypress is sad to say goodbye to Morgan Wood, longtime staff and teacher who is moving to San Diego. We congratulate Naz Torres-Casso who assumes the role of teacher for the Redwood classroom.
Adult Day Program Update
UCPNB presents the Holiday Spectacular on Zoom, December 23rd beginning at 1 pm. Join us for music, holiday trivia, an ugly sweater contest and loads of fun and social time including a visit from Santa Claus himself!
Your voice matters!!
Please take a moment to fill out the Department of Developmental Service’s survey. DDS wants to know how COVID-19 has impacted you and what’s important to self-advocates & families. Individual answers will not be shared.

Your experience can help the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) – and all of the organizations meeting the needs of self-advocates and families – better understand the pandemic’s effects on people with developmental disabilities.
This survey will be available online through December 18, 2020.
