United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay welcomed supporters, friends, donors and business partners to the annual Grapes & Gratitude Reception on Thursday, September 13, 2012. This year’s event was held at the beautiful Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma.
Guests participated in a 130 bottle Mystery Wine Raffle as well as a variety of Silent Auction items. We had a Fund-A-Need section that enabled guests to pledge any amount of money toward one of our programs. The funds raised will help us continue to provide programs and services to people with disabilities throughout Sonoma, Napa and Solano Counties.
The program included the announcement of our collaboration with Steve Gatlin, creator of Special Affects. Steve will be filming a short documentary on the story of UCP of the North Bay narrated by Michael Pritchard. We also celebrated UCP of the North Bay Scholarship Winner, Alexa McBride, now attending Sacramento State University.
Longtime UCP of the North Bay supporter, comedian and motivational speaker, Mike Pritchard, closed the evening with a humorous and inspirational look at UCP of the North Bay. His insight into the gift of our community’s support is what Grapes & Gratitude is all about.
This year, we also presented a Grapes & Gratitude 2013 Calendar made up of beautiful art created by some of our employees with disabilities from WineBev Services.
The Grapes & Gratitude 2013 Calendar is available for sale for $20 each at WineBev Services. Please contact Jerry Corradi if you are interested. firstname.lastname@example.org; 707-217-9260.
